Abstract:

This is a study of four related species of Pantomorus Schoenherr 1840, endemic to Argentina: P. auripes, P. prasinus, P. similis and P. fulvus, all described by Hustache (1947). The species group is defined and each species is redescribed including new characters of the vestiture, mouthparts and genitalia. The vestiture and the denticulation of the fore tibia are illustrated using an SEM, and the other diagnogtic structures are drawn. The geographic distribution of the four species is mapped and analyzed and a key for their recognition is included.
